The frequently overlooked pool bath has now become an important selling point in the "pool" home. Who wants wet kids running in and out of the house dripping water everywhere slipping sliding on the wet floors every time the need to use the rest room? Not me!This is why I made sure when we built our home that we had a separate bath for the pool.

The entrance to our pool bath
When I designed our pool bath I wanted it to have a fun vibe. I went with a Modern Aztec flooring in Black & White. I kept the walls simple with a pale creamy grey. as not to deter from the floor which is the main focus of the room.

Rattan baskets store towels out of the way.

A simple & modern black round mirror was used to contrast the Sharp lines of the vanity.
I chose a modern and clean light that combined the brass in the faucet & black in the vanity to pull everything together. I flipped it upright so it would give height to the ceiling and make the room feel even more spacious. I like to stager my finishes so as not allow the eye to focus on just one section. The rattan baskets are a perfect way to store pool towels and allow them to be hidden under the vanity to allow maximum space in such a tight space.

A black free floating shelf holds all of our sun care needs allowing them to be easily accessible. A rattan cylinder basket makes for the perfect slim waste basket for a tight space. Brass finishes are found on the toilet paper holder and a brass paper towel holder that holds the extra TP.

When choosing the door for the bathroom I went with a frosted glass . I hate the feeling a solid door gives in such tight spaces, it can feel very closed in. The glass although opaque gives the illusion of the room being light and airy.
My goal for this bathroom was to make sure it would appeal to both my kids . So I kept it neutral with the black and white and added my "glam" touches with the brass accents and Chanel posters.
it's really turned out to be one of my favorite designs in the house.
