When I designed our master I wanted to make sure it didn't feel to feminine or too manly. We has a canopy bed from our previous home you can find the same bed here. https://www.shopthenovogratz.com/collections/beds/products/marion-canopy-bed?variant=12193853636710

When they bed was in the room it felt closed in and the centerpiece of the room. Your eye was immediately drawn to the bed and nothing else in the room. So I took the top bars off and it completely changed the look of the room, it opened up the space and the room flow was perfect.

You can see in the photo above the side bars now draw your eye up instead of cutting it off, making the room feel open . I saved the bars incase I ever want to add curtains to the sides but, this room I feel like it would not be complementary to the overall look.
One of my favorite pieces in the room is the handmade light fixture It's the Pipa light by CB2 you can find it here https://www.cb2.com/pipa-natural-chandelier/s247846

I had it placed flush to the ceiling because I wanted it to elevate the room. I wanted it to feel like you were in a hut on an island and never ending vacation. I 'm super happy with it and the price point is perfect for a light like this that typically run between $800-$2000.
The one thing everyone loves is the large arched mirror . This took me FOREVER to get, I want to say I waited a little over 3 months for it to come in. It was definitely worth the wait! The size is perfect and it's HEAVY! definitely a well made . You can find the exact mirror here

You can see it from this angle in the photo below. it takes up most of the wall. I decided to mount it on the wall vs leaning it to give height and width to that wall since it's small.

The surfboard I bought from a local surf shop and leaned it against the wall in the corner. It's been used and abused but I love the worn look .

I absolutely love dividing a window with curtains. It makes the window feel so much bigger as it breaks up the eye. I also love pushing curtains as close to the ceiling as I can it adds height to the room and draws your eye up as you can see in the photo above. Our ceiling in this home are 10ft so I needed to find long drapes ( These are 118 long) which is hard to find. H & M is a great place to find affordable curtains. You can find these here https://www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.1039976001.html
I added a sofa under the window to allow for lounging when not in bed. I thought about putting two chairs there but they felt too bulky . I love sofas from World Market they are great price and the quality is great. I have another two of these Kendall sofas in my living room. They are slip covered so they are super easy to clean. Unfortunately, I don't see this sofa on their website anymore. I hope they bring them back because I love them.
I added a dog teepee to the corner to balance out the wall. The dogs actually love and sleep in there often especially on sunny days. You can find a similar teepee here at Marshalls for only $49.99. I actually love this pattern and color i may have to order it https://www.marshalls.com/us/store/jump/product/home-home-pet/Tribal-Print-Pet-Teepee/4000129341?colorId=NS4154737&pos=1:28&N=2859243025

The bench at the end of the bed I bought from Kirklands about 5 yrs ago. I tend to buy pieces that are timeless and classic and that I can use in any decor. These patterns have been around for decades and will never go out of style.
I had a large oversized frame laying around the house that I used to frame it. it wasn't a perfect fit and I actually love the look . It has a carefree just like the rest of the room.

If you have any questions about pieces you see, please let me know.
