Why is waiting always the hardest part? We started this journey back in January of 2020. We had no idea what a Seawall was , No idea what a gopher turtle or a Mangrove. All would prove to be quite expensive. Dunes & Oak on 1-22-21 .

Below is the main room of our home. We went with sliding doors that can open from either side or push all to one side. With my Lupus sometimes my body is so weak it's hard for me to open one big slider. Breaking up the panes made it so much lighter and easier to open. For the nook the plans originally called for a door to the back patio. I closed it off and added 3 windows. I love how they open the space and draw the eye to the back.

Below is where the electric fireplace will go. There will also be built-ins on either side
I went with the Modern Flames 80" Landscape . You can view it here fireplace .

The infamous Seawall. while it is not a "cheap" task. We were able to find the most amazing contractor in Samson Marine . He was not only the best price, but the only one who cared about what we wanted and has been an absolute dream to work with. The wall is beautiful we used 12ft panel to insure it will last for many many years.

View from the sliders. There will soon be a pool in the back with a spa.

The view that sold me. It's so zen and calming . We get to see Dolphins and Manatee's everyday .

To the right is our Master bedroom windows . There will eventually be a screen over the back along with an outdoor kitchen once the pool is in.

Above is our DD room she has the best view in the house . She also gets her own balcony. Below is the pool bath. I didn't want wet kids coming in dripping wet so we added the bath outside.

To the left is my "office" and next to it are 2 outdoor showers to wash off any sand when we come back from the beach.

Below is the main bath for downstairs . It has 2 shoer heads and a zero depth shower. I plan on putting a zen cactus garden outside the window. There also will be a special film on the window so you can't see in from the outside . I can't wait to see this bath when it is finished. You can see the Vanity I purchased for this bath here .

A different viewpoint of the nook with a large storefront window. All of the windows in the house are hurricane rated.

Below is the frame for our island which just under 12ft.

The front entry way

Master Bath shower. Features 2 shower heads along with a rain shower .There will be a pane of glass in the center. I opted for 2 windows instead of one large one to break up the space and I love how they turned out.

Vanity space fro my side. Click here to see the vanities I went with for our master bath.

The Hubby's side

Master Bedroom view . I plan on adding a sofa under the window to cuddle up on and enjoy the view from.

They originally put the windows to close together , and had to go in and rip them out. We can now fit our king bed between them with no obstruction.

Below will be my Parent's room. They moved down here to live with us last year. We added a little patio outside for them to enjoy .
